The poor neighborhood El Chorrillo had a bad reputation in Panama. It was widely known for social problems, crimes, violence and former gangs. But today it is a really interesting place where to go, but you need a local guide. Not a lot of tourists visit this area, so the locals look at you quite surprised. There is police station and policemans at every corner. El Chorrillo is a safe place to walk around during a day, but you have to go there with someone, who knows this area, people there and people know him. You can read more about El Chorillo in our blog.
